A Pastor in Monroe, Ohio is using extreme tactics to get through to visitors of his church. Pastor Lawrence Bishop II has a ring built inside his church for bull riding.
During a Wednesday night service at Solid Rock Church, Pastor Bishop climbed up on an anxious bull and then the animal was let loose. The 48-year-old preacher only last three seconds before he was thrown off and trampled. Despite being battered and bruised, Pastor Bishop walked to the pulpit and began his sermon.
Following the sermon he asked new believers to step forward and was greeted with a huge response. When asked why he uses bull riding to reach new believers? Pastor Bishop said, “You know, the Bible said to compel them to come in, and so that’s what we’re doing. It didn’t say how to compel them. It just said compel them to come in, so … this is a tool.”
