Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is a holiday that commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas back in 1865. Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19 and is recognized as a state holiday in 41 states in the United States.

The public is invited to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Juneteenth at the Eiteljorg Museum on Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will enjoy music, performances, demonstrations, food, and fun for the entire family. Admission is FREE, as well as, parking in the White River State Park Parking Garage.
