More big names have been added to the star-studded cast of NBC’s The Wiz. Ne-Yo will lay the Tin Man, Common will portray the Oz gatekeeper, and Elijah Kelly landed the highly coveted roll of the Scarecrow.
The trio join Queen Latifah who will portray the Wiz, Mary J. Blige will play Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West. David Alan Grier will step into the shoes of the Cowardly Lion, newcomer Shanice Williams landed the role of Dorothy. Stephanie Mills, who played Dorothy in the original Broadway production of the The Wiz will take on the role as Aunt Em. And, Uzo Aduba will portray Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, while Amber Riley portrays Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North.
The Wiz is set to air live on NBC on Thursday, Dec. 3.
