The faith-based film, “War Room,” shined brightly during the Labor Day weekend.

According to box office tracking firm Rentrak, the PG-rated film brought in $12.6 million from a little over 1,500 theaters. That brings the total from just two weekends to $27.9 million.

“‘War Room’ continues to benefit from filling a void in the marketplace for the largely underserved faith-based audience,” Rentrak analyst Paul Dergarabedian said in a statement.

It only cost $3.5 million to make the film.
