Congratulations to Viola Davis as she made history last night as the first black woman to win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama. She plays the role of Professor Annalise Keating on ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder.

Davis gave an emotional acceptance speech where she stated, “The only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity. You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there.”  You can watch her full speech below.
