Ice Cube is preparing to get back in front of the camera after producing a box office hit, Straight Outta Compton.
The N.W.A. founder has signed on to join the cast of Humbug, an adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Ice Cube will star as Scrooge in the film, according to Deadline. And, Tim Story has agreed to direct the film. Story’s known for the Fantastic Four and Think Like A Man Too.
Cube will reportedly take home an eight figure check for his role. Although Universal Studios hasn’t released an official release date, Humbug is rumored to hit theaters in 2017.
