Selma Director, Ava DuVernay, recently directed an Apple Music commercial that is creating quite the buzz. The commercial aired during the Emmy’s this past Sunday, and it stars Mary J. Blige, Taraji P. Henson, and Kerry Washington. In the commercial, the ladies are reminiscing and looking through a box of old mix tapes, while dancing to their favorite tunes.
Of course, twitter was buzzing after the commercial aired. DuVernay then announced on twitter that there will be two more parts to the commercial by tweeting, “Yep, first of three. @AppleMusic rolls them out throughout the week. Loved playing w/ Queens Kerry, Taraji + Mary xo.” If you missed it, you can watch part one below.
