Don Cheadle makes his directorial debut as he takes on the role of Jazz Icon, Miles Davis. The biopic, Miles Ahead, is set in the late 1970s and covers a five year time span. Cheadle’s love of jazz helped prep him for the role. He says he is actually a big fan of Davis’ music, as his parents would often play him Davis’ albums while he was growing up. Cheadle is also credited as a writer for the film.
The clip below depicts Davis in a recording studio, where he clearly shares his musical visions with the band. The film is set to be released sometime early next year, but you can check out a sneak peek below.
