The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards were held last night, January 10th, in Los Angeles. Denzel Washington received the Cecil B. DeMille Award, presented by fellow actor Tom Hanks. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association awards this honor to those who have made “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.”
Washington had the room laughing when he admitted to having a little trouble reading his acceptance speech, joking with the audience that he forgot his glasses. Congratulations, Denzel! You can watch his acceptance speech below.
