The 73rd Annual Golden Globes aired on NBC last night, January 10th.  As usual there was no shortage of cringe-worthy moments, especially when you put a liquored up Quentin Tarantino on stage.

Tarantino went on stage, on behalf of Ennio Morricone, to accept the Best Original Score Golden Globe for Morricone’s work on The Hateful Eight.  During the acceptance speech Tarantino used the phrase “That’s Ghetto.”

Tarantino stated, “But when I say favorite composer. I don’t mean movie composer, that’s ghetto. I’m talking about Mozart. I’m talking about Beethoven. I’m talking about Schubert.”

After Tarantino’s speech Jamie Foxx returned to the stage, and called out his former Django Unchained director with just one word.  Foxx walked up to the microphone, paused,  and then said, “Ghetto?”

Twitter was quick to roast Tarantino, and you can see the memes here.  You can watch Tarantino’s acceptance speech below, and read more on the topic here.
