Jamie Foxx is set to play Little John in the film “Robin Hood: Origins.” It is the latest adaptation of the classic story in which a bandit leads a group of ‘merry men’ liberating wealth from the rich for the benefit of the less privileged. This new Robin Hood tale is expected to be grittier than prior versions. Foxx will play a tough veteran and Robin Hood’s right-hand man. There have been some delays in production, but the film has a release date set for 2017. Deadline has more details HERE.
