Actor Jamie Foxx is being praised for helping to rescue a man who was trapped inside a burning truck. Foxx who plays heroic characters on screen all the time leaped into action in real life. Foxx says he rushed to the scene after hearing the crash Monday night in Ventura County. California Highway Patrol says a Toyota truck driven by Brett Kyle, 32, became engulfed in flames after it drove into a ditch and began rolling. Foxx used a tool to cut Kyle out of his seatbelt and pull him from the vehicle. Authorities say the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Kyle’s father expressed his gratitude to Foxx, captured in the photo below. Foxx said on his Instagram account,

“God had his arms wrapped around all of us…No heroes…Just happy fathers.”
