It has been no secret that Ciara and her boyfriend Russell Wilson are choosing to practice abstinence. Wilson has been very public about the topic, saying God spoke to him and wanted him to wait. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Ciara admits that she is tempted at times.
Ciara said, “We’re hanging in there. I’m not gonna lie. I’m human, so it is not easy, especially when I look at him and I think he is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen — that I’ve ever laid my eyes on, to be honest. I’m like, ‘Look the other way! Look the other way!'”
Ciara went on to say, “But he’s such an awesome guy and the cool thing is that every day, we’re growing with each other. We get to have really healthy conversations and focus on each other as people. That is very important to me and him. It’s very valuable. We’re just enjoying ourselves and going one day at a time and praying and staying positive.” She explains that a hug and a kiss is fine, but they just have to stay strong to avoid going too far.
Last July, Wilson sat down with Pastor Miles McPherson and said, “If you can love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody…I ain’t gonna lie – I need ya’ll to pray for us, because I know you have seen her on the screen now. If there’s a 10, she’s a 15. Pray for me, keep my mind clear, keep my heart clear.”
Ciara has previously spoken on the topic of marriage, where she said, “It’s all on God’s timing.” Meanwhile, it seems like marriage is probably far from the singer’s mind, as she is currently suing her ex-fiance Future, for $15 million for libel and slander. You can read more here.
