An 8-year-old Carolina Panthers fan, Stephen Graham, saw Cam Newton’s post-game interview after the Super Bowl and noticed Newton wasn’t too happy. Newton has gotten a lot of criticism for walking out on the interview, but Graham is one of Newton’s biggest fans who is sticking with him.
Graham says he wanted to do something for his friend to cheer him up, so he decided to write Newton a letter and make him a “parper trofy.” We can all learn a thing or two from Graham, except maybe spelling, as he admits he now knows how to correctly spell trophy. Graham says, “When a friend falls down, the other friend always picks him up.”
There is no word yet if Newton has received Graham’s letter. Surely it will do just what Graham intended, and make his friend smile. You can watch the video here.
