10-year-old Egypt Ufele, or better known as “Ify,” shut down bullies when her clothing line recently debuted at New York Fashion Week.  Ify told Today that she had been bullied because of her weight.  Ify said, “I was bullied and they called me all kinds of names.  One time I got stabbed with a pencil.”  She decided to shut down her bullies by making her own clothing line for all body types.

Ify started out by hand-sewing clothes for her dolls, then she learned how to use a sewing machine and make clothes for herself and others.  Ify then created her own line called “Chubiiline,” where she brings “Africa to America, one design at a time.”

The young designer is now the first child designer to dress curvy models for New York Fashion Week.  You can watch an interview with Ify here, and check out some of her designs below.
