Sometimes the best parts of our life are those unplanned. Take Teaira Blount, for example.
In true walk-by-faith-and-not-by-sight fashion, Teaira went against the grain and opted out of college after being overwhelmed by a feeling that she didn’t belong there. She thought she was supposed to be a teacher, but eventually found a way to make a career out of her personal style.
“It came so naturally,” she said.
Having styled for Briana Babineaux, Casey J, Rickey Smiley, Tasha Page-Lockhart and Anthony Hamilton – just to name a few – Teaira says she’s just taking the journey one step at a time, grateful that while being a fashion stylist is hard work, it doesn’t feel like work at all.
