Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith are near finalizing deals to co-star in Universal’s Girl Trip with director, Malcolm Lee, attached. This will be the first time the two actresses have appeared on screen together since 1996’s cult classic, Set it Off.

Smith and Latifah are familiar with working together behind the camera. They co-produced Secret Life, which stars Latifah, and produced Dream Mama, starring Pinkett Smith, before that.

A release date for the film is not yet set but it is sure to fill cinema seats when it does finally come tot the big screen.
