Wow, talk about being candid. Bobby Brown brought the real in his interview with Robin Roberts tonight on ABC’s 20/20.
The solo artist and New Edition singer kept it 100, saying in his upcoming memoir, Every Little Step, that he first saw Whitney Houston doing drugs on their wedding day, before the ceremony.
Brown writes he broke tradition and peeked in on Houston and was “shocked” to witness her “hunched over a bureau snorting a line of coke.”
He says Whitney offered him a hit, but claims he didn’t accept. He goes on to say that she was doing it because she said she ‘nervous.”
“She wasn’t that,” an emotional Brown told Roberts. “The drugs wasn’t her. She did drugs but drugs didn’t do her. She knew how to handle herself. It only made me love and want to protect her more.
