A film about Shirley Chisholm, the first African-American woman elected to the United States Congress, is currently in development and Tony award-winning actress Anika Noni Rose is set to produce and star in the production.
In an update, Barbara Bullard, a producer on the film, confirmed to the site that Rose is currently set to produce and star.
