Barbie may have released a new collection of dolls with varying body types, skin tones, and careers, but that still hasn’t fixed the diversity issues Barbie still lacks. One husband wanted to make sure his wife got the birthday present she wanted, and he went out of his way to customized a game developer Barbie after she couldn’t find one in her skin tone.
Marcus Montgomery took it upon himself to put together a game developer Barbie that represented his wife, as she is a game developer. He says that as soon as she saw that Barbie had released a game developer doll, she immediately tried to find one but was disappointed to find they were white Barbies only.
