Gymnast Simone Biles recently threw out the first pitch at a Huston Astros game, and it was pretty epic!
Biles says that throwing the pitch was nerve wracking, so she had to put her own spin on it, literally. After her pitch Biles said, “My dad dragged me out yesterday and forced me to practice, and then I was like ‘Well, I’ll just do a flip just in case my throw is embarrassing, to throw everyone off.'” She nailed both the flip and the pitch!
Biles recently took home her 4th straight all-around gymnastics championship title at the 2016 P&G U.S. Gymnastics Championships. Biles now has her sights set on qualifying to make the 2016 U.S. Olympic gymnastics team.
Many are saying Biles will easily make the U.S. team, and consider her to be a strong medal contender at the 2016 Rio games. Watch her amazing first pitch here, and read more on the story here.
