@kwellscomm Access Indy Interview
An annual event gets underway on Saturday working to uplift the girls and teens of this community. The Second Annual S.W.A.G. Conference –Students With A Goal—is designed to not only uplift girls ages 11 to 18, but to also motivate and encourage them in their life’s pursuits. It’s a program of the Juvenile Courts of Marion County who have brought together several collaborators in the community for a day of fun, educational workshops, activities and more at Crispus Attucks High School. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with onsite registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. The organizers of the S.W.A.G. Conference spent some time with me in our “Access Indy with Kim Wells” studio here at Radio One-Indy this month talking about what they’re offering and what they hope to achieve.
