There’s nothing wrong with a few playful inside jokes between co-stars, right? Well, Cuba Gooding Jr. may have taken his “joke” a little too far this time. The star has caused outrage on social media after he lifted up Sarah Paulson’s skirt while on stage. Wait, WHAT?!
Gooding Jr. and Paulson co-star on American Horror Story: Roanoke, and they were participating in a panel at the Paley Fest in Los Angeles over the weekend. When actress Kathy Bates was introduced to the stage, Paulson greeted her with a big hug. It was then that Gooding Jr. decided it would be funny to lift up Paulson’s skirt.
Paulson didn’t seem to notice what was happening at first, until a good portion of her leg was exposed where her dress was slit. She seemed to laugh off Gooding Jr.’s actions, but fans took to twitter to express their outrage. Many fans are calling Gooding Jr.’s actions sexual harassment, while others are simply asking why he thought that was a good idea.
The two stars have previously worked together on American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. Neither has spoken out on the matter as of yet. You can see what happened in the video below, and read more on the story here.
