Drum Corps International – DCI World Championships
Marching Music’s Major League, it is! From June to August, musicians travel over 10,000 miles perfecting their shows at over 100 events to advance to the championships. Daily pop-up shows and the SoundSport International Music & Food Festival, featuring the famous DrumLine Battle, are exciting, free events prior to the finals on Saturday. Bruno Mars – The 24K Magic World Tour
Bruno Mars can do no wrong. Whether he’s singing, writing, producing, directing, or being the youngest artist to ever headline the Super Bowl halftime show, he delivers the goods. The Grammy Award-winner has been creating magic on this tour, making a stop at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Sunday. Tickets are $177 and up.
Super Hero Night – Indianapolis Indians vs. Syracuse Chiefs
Leaders in their division, the Indians have won four of their last five games entering this series with Syracuse. See Batman and Robin at Victory Field Saturday, when the crime-fighting duo will be on hand for photos before and during the game. The first 2,500 fans receive super hero capes, and the Tribe will wear Batman-themed jerseys for the game! Tickets are $10 and up.
Broad Ripple Carnival
Celebrate Broad Ripple at this four-day festival in the park through Sunday. With carnival rides, games, food, drinks (including a craft beer garden), and live music from The Funk Quarter, The Roundups, and more, this all-ages, free event has fun for everyone. Thursday is Dog Night and includes a walk through the village, while Saturday features an artisan and vintage market.
