LOS ANGELES – December 19, 2017 –  TV One  represented at the 49th NAACP Image Awards Nominees’ Luncheon on Saturday, December 16. Comedian Lil Rel Howery and actress Amirah Vann co-hosted the annual event held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. The network celebrated its six nominations including two for When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story in the categories “Outstanding Television Movie, Limited – Series or Dramatic Special” and “Outstanding Writing in a Television Movie or Special”; News One Now and Unsung in the category of “Outstanding News/Information (Series or Special)”; The Manns for “Outstanding Reality Program/Reality Competition Series” and Roland Martin for “Outstanding Host in a Talk or New/Information (Series or Special).”


TV One’s General Manager Michelle Rice, SVP of Programming and Production D’Angela Proctor, SVP of Public Relations Tosha Whitten-Griggs, VP of Programming and Production Robyn Greene Arrington, Sr. Director of Programming and Production Jubba Seyyid, Sr. Director of Talent and Casting Donyell McCullough and Sr. Director of Programming and Production Tia Smith all attended the event on behalf of the network.  Celebrity talent honored at the event included TV One alums Loretta Devine, Demetria McKinney, Major, Niecy Nash, Adrienne Houghton, Yvette Nicole Brown,  Samira Wiley and many more.


TV One will air the 49th NAACP Image Awards, hosted by Anthony Anderson, at 9 p.m. ET on Monday, January 15, 2018. The pre-show from the red carpet will air at 8 p.m. ET.
