Crazy Quilts – Stitching Memories
This weekend is the last opportunity to see Crazy Quilts at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. Women in the 1880s began to craft these asymmetrical and boldly colored pieces to show off their skills with needlework and design by using irregular shapes of fabric and a variety of stitches. The exhibit is included with regular admission of $10 and up.
Native Art Now!
The Eiteljorg Contemporary Art Fellowships are awarded each year to promote the nation’s best Native American artists. Through January 28, see this traveling retrospective of the most compelling pieces produced through the program since 1999. Native Art Now! is included with regular Eiteljorg admission of $7 and up.
