TV One’s signature, award winning music biography series “Unsung” continues its brand new season with R&B quintet Blue Magic on Sunday, March 11 at 9/8C. Blue Magic stands as the last of the great vocal groups from the 1970s, and all five original members reunited for the first time since 1982 to tell their incredible story on “Unsung.

Blue Magic began as a group of neighborhood friends from Philadelphia and went on to achieve worldwide acclaim. The group blended the sound of classic soul singing groups of the 1950s. Blue Magic was hot right out of the box. Their choreography became their identity, with moves designed to fit each song and performed with the kind of precision that made each show memorable. Throughout the ’70s, Blue Magic delivered infectious radio hits, including “Stop to Start,” “Spell,” and the chart-topping “Side Show,” but bad business deals and internal struggles stopped the group from reaching its full potential.

UNCENSORED

A stunning pop culture darling, Hollywood leading lady and three-time NAACP award winner, Nia Long’s run of success spans three decades. The journey to get there, however, was a turbulent one and she’s telling her story on “Uncensored,” TV One’s new hit autobiography series that features the first-person accounts of today’s hottest celebrities.
