RADIO ONE INDIANAPOLIS NAMED TINA COSBY AS THE NEW PUBLIC AFFAIRS DIRECTOR FOR THE CLUSTER AND HOST OF COMMUNITY CONNECTION ON AM1310/92.7FM THE LIGHT!
Indianapolis, IN – Effective Wednesday, May 1, 2019 – Tina Cosby, who is a legendary host and icon in Indianapolis journalism has been named as the new Public Affairs Director for all Radio One Indianapolis stations.
As Community Affairs Director she will be responsible for all community outreach for the Indianapolis clusters that includes 106.7 WTLC, Radio Now 100.9, AM 1310/92.7fm The Light, Hot 96.3, La Grande 105.1 and Telemundo TV.
Tina Cosby is an Emmy Award winning journalist who has been an anchor, reporter, producer, Public Affairs talk show host, and most recently, Community Affairs Director at WISH-TV/MyINDY-TV Indianapolis.
Ms. Cosby, is looking forward to her new role. “Tina Cosby has played a critical role in the community in Indianapolis for many years. The company wants to tap further into the unique perspective Tina brings to our listeners by having her lead all our Community Affairs efforts both on and off the air,” said Karen Vaughn, Operations Manager of Radio One Indianapolis.
Tina has received honors and recognition from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, The National Association of Black Journalists, The Angel Awards For Community Service Programming, the Indiana Broadcaster’s Association for both Journalistic Excellence and Community Affairs Programming, and the Society of Professional Journalists.
