The Madam Walker Theatre Center and IU’s partnership will continue the legacy of Madam C.J. Walker

A Complete renovation of the MWLC building will be taking place as well as new programming coming.

Renovations will be complete during Fall 2019. Opening will be Q1 2020.

The Madame Walker Theatre, “seeks to empower, educate and entertain and uses its historic building as a venue for celebrating cultural diversity, rich heritage and cultural traditions, primarily through art from the African-American perspective.”
