After a very tense and hectic weekend, Indianapolis faith leaders held a peaceful protest Sunday in downtown Indianapolis, calling for policing reform and racial justice.

Faith in Indiana and Faith in Action were joined by hundreds as they used their voices to protest recent deadly incidents involving police, like the deaths of George Floyd in Minneapolis and and Dreasjon Reed right here in Indianapolis.

Part of their peaceful protests included a march to the City-County Building where they held a “die-in” demonstration. While the names of those shot and killed at the hands of police were read out loud, protesters laid on the ground for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
