Cross Movement Records Suspends DA T.R.U.T.H.

Source: Eurweb.com

*Cross Movement Records (CMR) has suspended rapper Emanuel L. Lambert, Jr., a.k.a. DA T.R.U.T.H. from the label over a confession of moral failure.

The label issued a statement online Nov. 13 indicating it would “discontinue the forwarding” of the Philadelphia based rapper in response to the Nov. 4 Letter of Apology (that appears on http://www.datruth.net) in which he admitted to “moral indiscretion.”

CMR made it clear it was not severing ties with the artist stating, “ . . .in recent times and similar circumstances, it has been reported and published by certain media outlets that Cross Movement Records drops artists from its label for such things as what Truth has confessed. However, we wish to state for the record that this is untrue. When the label stated that “we are discontinuing the forwarding” of an artist, as we have done previously and are stating currently, we mean that we are rendering the person inactive and not separated from us.” (Read the full statement at http://www.crossmovementrecords.com).

Da T.r.u.t.h, 33, says he’s taking a sabbatical and will work closely with his pastor, church and restoration team.

The rapper is a Grammy nominated, two-time Stellar award winner known for bringing a platform of holiness to youth. He was instrumental in the growth of the independent CMR label and has collaborated with such artists as Kirk Franklin and Tye Tribbett.

May we continue to keep him and his family in prayer.
