On Afternoons with Amos, veteran WXIN/Fox 59 reporter Russ McQuade and City-County Councilors Joanne Sanders and William “Duke” Oliver talked about the latest developments. McQuade broke the story that demoted IMPD Assistant Chief Darryl Pierce had made cell phone calls to IMPD Chief Paul Ciesielski totaling 16 minutes while at the scene of the crash where IMPD Office David Bisard killed a motorcyclist and wounded two more. McQuade also reported that Pierce and other top commanders were ordered to leave the crash scene to attend a meeting with Chief Ciesielski to discuss boosting Public Safety Director Dr. Frank Straub’s image.  Reacting to McQuade were City-County Council Minority Leader Sanders and Councilman Oliver. Council Democrats have called for an independent Council investigation of the continuing IMPD crisis.  Hear the interviews above.
