The Indiana Pacers have set an end of June deadline to get a deal worked out to cover operating costs at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The team is trying to strike a deal with the city’s Capital Improvement Board. Since 1999, the pacers have been responsible for covering the $15 million annual operating costs. The team is now able to renegotiate terms, and it says it can’t afford to continue covering the costs.
