A man who called 911 to report a customer waving a gun in a store, resulting in a fatal police-involved shooting in 2014 in a Dayton, Ohio suburb, could now be charged with making a false alarm, reports The Associated Press.

President Obama and Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland will stop by the University of Chicago Law School on Thursday to address the significance of filling the vacancy on the Supreme Court.

The motion was filed last Thursday (March 31) at the Baltimore City Circuit Court to have Garrett Miller testify at Nero's trial, which will begin May 10. The order was filed since Miller will most likely refuse to take the stand because of his right against self-incrimination, says the report. Prosecutors dealt with similar issues in the case of Officer William Porter.

The officers refused to believe Elijah Pontoon was not hiding any drugs on him and subjected him to a cavity search in broad daylight. A female officer searched Pontoon's girlfriend, Lakey Hicks, exposing her breasts.
