One Person Dead Following Police Chase

One person is dead following a police chase on Indy’s southeast side. Investigators say the man was questioned by a Park Ranger Wednesday at Brookside Park because he was acting suspicious, but fled when he was asked to show ID. The man crashed his car on South Franklin Road, then ran inside a nearby home and yelled that he was armed. Officials say while waiting for the SWAT team to arrive, the man made an aggressive movement and was shot by an officer through an open window.

Ben Davis Student Found With Gun

A student at Ben Davis High School could be expelled for having a gun on campus. Police say the boy got into an argument with a female student Wednesday morning between classes. The gun was found in his backpack after they were separated and taken to the dean’s office. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Elderly Man With Alzheimer’s FOUND
UPDATE: 1:41P.M.– IMPD is reporting that John Hall has been located in Sister Bay, Wisconsin.
Police are looking for a missing elderly man. Officials say 70-year-old John Hall dropped his wife off at St. Francis Hospital Wednesday morning and never came back for her. According to family members, he has Alzheimer’s and significant hearing loss. Hall is driving a 2005 Subaru Outback and was last seen wearing a tan coat, short sleeve collared shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a tan hat.
