At 42 years old, Erica Campbell of the award-winning duo Mary Mary has a lot to celebrate. Her debut solo project, HELP catapulted to the top of the charts upon its March 25threlease, where it still remains.
“Guys, I just wanted to say thank you,” said the content wife, mom and singer in an Instagram video to express gratefulness for her birthday wishes and tributes.
“I had a fantastic birthday because I’m healthy, I’m happy and I’m blessed, and I’m alive one more year.”
Since the WE tv reality star’s grueling promotional schedule has kept her on the road an awful lot so far this year, with many more dates to fill, Campbell wanted to settle in and keep her B-day celebration simple.
“No huge venue just my house my family food & music!!” she wrote on Instagram, explaining that her producer husband, Warryn Campbell, CEO of My Block Records, had big ideas.
“My husband had and elaborate plan and I said babe we don’t need to break the bank!”
Instead, she opted to call up a few people, “laugh and dance & eat.”
In honor of her request, the party was hosted at the Campbell residence. In the backyard tables were set up, covered in black and white linen, with party string lights hanging overhead.
Apparently pleased with the outcome, a beaming Campbell wrote, “Sooo much fun tonight!!”
