Here are some of Tuesday’s top stories…

Indianapolis police report a shooting involving SWAT on the city’s northwest side.  They say the officer shot a suspect at around 1:30 this morning near Harding and Pruitt streets. Theindychannel.com reports SWAT had been surveilling the area because of shooting incidents over the last couple days and they saw this suspect shooting at cars, ordered him to put his gun down and when he didn’t, they shot him. The suspect who is described as in his late teens to early 20’s was taken to Eskenazi Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The man accused of murdering IMPD Officer Perry Renn is due in court Tuesday. Police say Major Davis, Junior was released from the hospital Friday, which was the same day of Renn’s funeral.
