The criminal mind is indeed a complex instrument however, you can’t deny that they have a heart. Inmates across Indiana have all banned together for the sake of today’s children in hopes they will receive proper child care. The cause is for the “Wee Ones Nursery”. It’s a unit in the Indiana Women’s Prison that provides parenting education for inmates that have newborns or women who are expecting to deliver while serving there sentence.
The Inmates effort to support the Nursery has already raised a sum of $5600 in the past few weeks and more donations are being recorded. The State Department of corrections is expecting an additional $1000.
All the women eligible to live with their newborns in a separate unit have not been convicted of any violent crime and have 18 months or less left on their sentence.
