According to BlackGospel.com, Ann Nesby, the two-time Grammy winner, and former lead singer to the Sounds of Blackness, is readying the release of her latest musical offering, “Ann Nesby’s A Soulful Christmas” for the 2009 holiday season.

In 1996 Nesby left Sounds of Blackness with the help of super-producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis to release the R&B-oriented LP “I’m Here for You.”

Since then Nesby has contributed to several soundtracks including Batman, Mo’ Money and Demolition Man. She’s produced tribute albums to Marvin Gaye, John Lennon and Curtis Mayfield.

Nesby may tour with her daughter Jamecia and her granddaughter Paris Bennett, who was a season five finalist on ‘American Idol.’
