Demetrius West Bio…
Inspiring…Powerful…Anointed…are just a few words that describe the music ministry of Demetrius West. Armed with his new group, Authority, who will release their new CD entitled “I am a Worshipper” in April 2011 under the imprint of LCP Music Group, is vastly growing as a new gospel sensation. Demetrius began Authority—an ensemble in the spring of 2010 after retiring his choir, Reflections of God Chorale, to bring a different style of music to the gospel community. Later that year West and business executive Ron Robinson pooled their resources together to begin LCP Music Group, a record label based out of Indianapolis, IN determined to present music to the world that is life changing in which they call it “the experience”. Now with only one artist on the label, LCP will soon be developing and signing more Gospel artist to the company.
Demetrius West began his gospel music career at an early age. After seeing the directing abilities of his great-grandmother and Rodnie Bryant (his minister of music at the time), he began a passion for gospel music. With the inspiration of many teachers that have helped him along the way, it was no surprise that Demetrius would develop leadership and euphonious musical talents with speed. Since 2001, West has been committed to the advancement of the kingdom and has assisted with many choirs, groups, soloist, and musicians. He has travelled the length and breadth of this country conducting workshops and seminars to help advance other ministries as well as shared the stage with many Gospel, R&B, Pop, and Rock stars.
With now 2 albums under his belt (Demetrius West and Reflections of God Chorale: “Conversation In His Presence” {2004}, “It Happened In Worship” {2007}) and his new release “I am A Worshipper” {April 2011}, Demetrius has proven himself to be a phenomenal composer, arranger, producer, and now record executive.
