Independent candidate for 7th District Congress Rev. Mmoja Ajabu continued to press his case that he’s being unfairly and perhaps illegally being kept off the November 6th election ballot.  Accompanied by attorney Paul Ogden, Ajabu appeared on Afternoons with Amos to charge that the Marion County Voter Registration Office is unfairly withholding approval of his nominating petitions.  Ajabu and Ogden are waiting for Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson to decide whether to investigate before they decide to appeal to the Indiana Election Commission. In response to listeners, Rev. Ajabu asserted that he is “far more qualified” to be in Congress than incumbent Rep. Andre Carson. Ajabu and Ogden also charged that Democratic and Republican Party officials are trying to keep Ajabu and other independent candidates or those bucking the party establishment from running for political office.
