Residents of the Caravelle Commons Apartments on East 16th Street in the Old Northside/King Park neighborhood are upset at plans by the City and Indianapolis Housing Authority.  They plan to raze the current apartments they live in and replace it with new apartments. Units that would provide less space for recreation and parking, are a throwback to the motels of the 1950’s, and provided dangerous fenced balconies that could be harmful to children. Residents talked about the situation on Afternoons with Amos and asked for the community’s help and support. Listen to the interview above.
