Faith Evans is doing reality television differently with “R&B Divas.”
While the competition continues to receive harsh criticism for the constant drama, hair pulling and cat fighting, the singer and now reality star says it’s not necessary.
“I think it’s a personal decision of how you choose to portray yourself on camera or off camera. Everything ain’t for everybody, but that’s a personal decision if you choose to portray yourself in a certain light be it for money, fame or whatever,” she says in an interview with Vibe. “That’s something that you’re eventually going to have to deal with the repercussions of.”
“R&B Divas” was created with a more positive intent, showing viewers that Black women can be civilized businesswomen without biting off each other’s heads.
The show is back for a second season and faith is working on new music.
Faith says she’s got a lot of material lined up for her fans. The album should be out some time next year.
