Black Expo Shooter Arrested Again
The man who was sentenced for shooting nine people during the Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration in 2010 is back in trouble again.
20 year old, Shamus Patton, was found inside a vehicle… after a police chase late yesterday. IMPD said two other people with guns were also inside the car.
Police did not immediately say if Patton faced any new charges.
Man Shot In Neck Near West Side McDonald’s
Police are investigating after a person was shot in the neck and then went into a nearby McDonalds on the city’s west side near 16th Street and Tibbs.
Detectives believed the victim was actually shot in the 1400 block of Alton Avenue and then walked to McDonalds for help. The victim was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in stable, but serious condition.
Police are searching for suspects who may have fled into a nearby neighborhood.

Man Killed After Falling Into Grain Bin
A man died after he fell into a grain bin in western Indiana on Yesterday.
59 year old Vernon Babb’s body was not until three hours after he fell.
The Fountain County Coroner said the preliminary cause of death was asphyxia.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
Park 16 Back Open After Massive Fire
An affordable housing complex destroyed by fire is now open again. The 16 Park Apartments nearly burned to the ground last June while still under construction. The 155-unit complex has several eco-friendly features, including green roof technology, rain gardens, tankless water heaters and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
Teacher Acquitted of Rape Charges
A former Shelbyville Middle School teacher accused of having inappropriate relationships with students is off the hook. Bethany Appleton was acquitted on Wednesday. Police say she had sex with a 15-year-old at her house, provided several minors with alcohol and marijuana, and even smoked and drank with them.
