Those trying to get rid of the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) are traveling the country trying to drum up support to force Congress to “defund” the new law, just as the many of the law’s reforms are about to take effect. A group led by former Senator Jim DeMint who now heads The Heritage Foundation visited Indianapolis to whip up those who want to eliminate health care reform. Groups that also want to weaken and embarrass President Barack Obama. Countering DeMint’s appearance in Indianapolis were people from the President’s lobbying organization Americans United for Change. The groups Executive Director Caren Benjamin appeared on Afternoons with Amos in an exclusive interview to counter the false information and misinformation from DeMint and the Obamacare opponents.
