They’re not the famed “Gladiators” of TV’s Scandal, but they are men and women trained to help solve a problem – getting you the facts about the the Affordable Care Act and getting you signed up for one of the new health insurance plans through the Federal Marketplace Exchange.  These helpers are called Navigators and they’ve been training to answer your questions on health care reform and the insurance plans that became available October 1st.  On Afternoons with Amos talked with three Navigators from Wishard/Eskenazi Health.  Wishard/Eskanazi is one of four organizations in Indiana that received funding to train and deploy “Navigators” out in the community to help sign people up for the new insurance plans.  During the interview, lots of questions about the new health care law and how the new insurance plans could impact those on Hoosier Healthwise, Medicaid, Medicare, Wishard Advantage, private insurance and many more.
