North-Westside Stabbing Leads to Homicide Investigation

The Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating the city’s latest homicide. Monday night, police were called to the 17-hundred block of Lafayette Road regarding a stabbing and found a man at a motel who indeed had been stabbed.  The victim was taken from the scene to Eskenazi Hospital where he was pronounced dead. While investigating in the area of the crime scene, police located and took a person of interest into custody.  They found this person only a few blocks away in the 19-hundred block of King Ave. IMPD is interviewing this person and other witnesses. So far no arrests have been made. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Possible Gang Initiation Leaves Puppy Shot and In Need

A possible gang initiation has left a puppy shot multiple times and local rescue “Every Dog Counts Rescue” is asking for your help. The pup named Joy was shot in the face, chest and tail on Saturday while tied in its owner’s yard.  The owner surrendered the injured five-month-old puppy to the rescue organization.  The rescue is now asking for donations to help pay for the puppy’s medical care.   For more on this story click [HERE].
