New Book Out About the Queen of Soul
A revealing biography about the life of Aretha Franklin is on sale now.
The book written by David Ritz is titled, “Respect.” Franklin is said to be a very private person and is probably not very happy about this book since she didn’t play a role in its creation.
Ritz also co-wrote Franklin’s 1999 memoir, From These Roots. The content of that book was very controlled by Aretha, according to Ritz.
