Indiana University and Purdue University are fierce competitors in athletics and academics. So why are two Associated Directors of Admission for IU and Purdue working together to identify, encourage and recruit African-American and other minority students to attend school in West Lafayette and Bloomington? On Afternoons with Amos , Associate Director of Admissions, Community Relations and Outreach for Indiana University Khala Granville and Associate Director of Admissions for Purdue University Tara Evans talked about their cooperative efforts at speaking with, recruiting and attracting more African-Americans to the two schools. Evans and Granville also talked about admissions requirements for the two universities, things students and parents needs to prepare for college and lots more in an engaging interview demonstrating cooperation between rivals now colleagues.
