172686275At only two days into a new month, we now know the snowfall across Indy and Central Indiana has broken records. The accumulation from day one has delayed school for your kids on this March 2 morning.

Five-point-nine inches fell on March 1, breaking a previous record of five and a half inches set in 1963. All of this fast accumulation has left opportunity for lots of snow shoveling. Shoveling of your sidewalks must be done, according to the city’s Department of Code Enforcement within ten hours of the end of the snowfall. If you don’t clear your sidewalks, you could see a $50 fine.  It’s a safety issue and clear sidewalks is just neighborly. Clear sidewalks are appreciated by the kids who have to get to the bus stop even when school is delayed like today.

Check to see if your child’s school is delayed today, HERE.
